Why fruits?

Since young, I've been educated and taught about the benefits of fruits, how nutritious they are and how they can keep us healthy and fit. I have never liked fruits, or even, I detest fruits. When mommy served us apples, I will secretly threw my apples into the dustbin or out of the window (not to be caught by mom). The tastes and sometimes their appearances do not appeal to me and I always don't understand why should we eat fruits? Fruits are ranked one of the top nasty food in my list. Perhaps, this is the reason of my acne face. If I were not so stubborn and ate more fruits in the past, my face would be better?

Fruits are nature's wonderful medicines as they are packed with vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants that are beneficial to our health.

How fruits are beneficial to us!

As I grow older, I became more health conscious. I started eating different sorts of fruits and I can really see the effects. My body gets less toxic and more nutrients. Although my daily intake of fruits did not meet the requirements, every human body should consume 3-4 portions of fruits every day. Try to include fruits before, during and after your meals. Make it a habit, and trust me it is all worth it.

Usually, I would snack on tidbits or chocolates during tea-break. But as I'm determined to change to a healthier diet, I ate fruits as my snacks today!!! YAY

Okay, the maple syrup ain't part of the healthy diet but let's take things slowly. I've learnt my lesson and should not stop everything at one go! So I intend to eat McDonald's twister fries one day soon, to control my cravings. JUST ONCE!!!

As many of you readers already know what wonders apples can do, many did not know how great avocado is. Or simply some don't even know it's existence! (including me till recently) 





Avocados are rich in fibre, despite its high calorie count. This fruit contains high fat burning abilities. Just one avocado provides your body with various vitamins including Vitamin A, C, E, K and B6. Every mouth of avocado would assure you your body nourishments. Besides, other nutrients like riboflavin, folate, niacin and pantothenic acid are found in large amounts in an avocado. 

After researching on various health sites, avocados are found to be one of the fruits that are most beneficial to one's health. Including:

Prostate Cancer Prevention
Breast Cancer Protection
Eye Health
Lower Cholesterol
Regulate Blood Pressure
Heart Health
Stroke Prevention
Healthy Skin

The list can go much longer but this shows how great avocados are! Thumbs up!
