Do More Of What Makes You HAPPY


Learning to be a happy kid. 

Hello everyone! I'm so (not) busy this semester! I think I'm too laid off, and I want to beef up my studies! Motivation x10 please. But I'm doing good these few weeks as I'm occupied with several personal stuff (besides some moment of emotional sadness as usual), meeting up with my friends and having lots of fun during CNY. It was great, seeing how pieces of things are slowly getting patched back together. 

I was also in the process of getting fit & healthy, devouring tons of fruits daily to increase my natural vitamins intake. Hopefully it reflects on my skin soon & I will not need to use BB Cream to cover my flaws anymore! I CAN DO IT :)

Why fruits?

Since young, I've been educated and taught about the benefits of fruits, how nutritious they are and how they can keep us healthy and fit. I have never liked fruits, or even, I detest fruits. When mommy served us apples, I will secretly threw my apples into the dustbin or out of the window (not to be caught by mom). The tastes and sometimes their appearances do not appeal to me and I always don't understand why should we eat fruits? Fruits are ranked one of the top nasty food in my list. Perhaps, this is the reason of my acne face. If I were not so stubborn and ate more fruits in the past, my face would be better?

Fruits are nature's wonderful medicines as they are packed with vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants that are beneficial to our health.

As I grow older, I became more health conscious. I started eating different sorts of fruits and I can really see the effects. My body gets less toxic and more nutrients. Although my daily intake of fruits did not meet the requirements, every human body should consume 3-4 portions of fruits every day. Try to include fruits before, during and after your meals. Make it a habit, and trust me it is all worth it.

Usually, I would snack on tidbits or chocolates during tea-break. But as I'm determined to change to a healthier diet, I ate fruits as my snacks today!!! YAY

Okay, the maple syrup ain't part of the healthy diet but let's take things slowly. I've learnt my lesson and should not stop everything at one go! So I intend to eat McDonald's twister fries one day soon, to control my cravings. JUST ONCE!!!

As many of you readers already know what wonders apples can do, many did not know how great avocado is. Or simply some don't even know it's existence! (including me till recently) 





Avocados are rich in fibre, despite its high calorie count. This fruit contains high fat burning abilities. Just one avocado provides your body with various vitamins including Vitamin A, C, E, K and B6. Every mouth of avocado would assure you your body nourishments. Besides, other nutrients like riboflavin, folate, niacin and pantothenic acid are found in large amounts in an avocado. 

After researching on various health sites, avocados are found to be one of the fruits that are most beneficial to one's health. Including:

Prostate Cancer Prevention
Breast Cancer Protection
Eye Health
Lower Cholesterol
Regulate Blood Pressure
Heart Health
Stroke Prevention
Healthy Skin

The list can go much longer but this shows how great avocados are! Thumbs up!

Start now with DIY face masks! Simply go youtube and search for DIY Avocado Face Masks, many youtube make-up gurus would have tried it before. I'll start to make some videos next time after I bought my camera!




By now, I guess everyone has an idea how good avocados can do to both your inner and outer self. Do try to include avocados in your diet (and mine too). It has become part of my healthy diet regime. Thank you everyone and remember our smiles! :)

Motivation & Determination

So again, I've started to get my ass back on controlling my weight and diet. I had tried dieting about one year ago, but apparently it wasn't the best way to slim down because I had gained back my weight loss. In fact, I grew heavier than what I was before. 

One of the reasons I slimmed down was due to enormous stress as a result of the loss of my beloved. My whole family turned vegetarians for exactly 49 days as a form of prayer to daddy, hoping his after life will be better. As such, I survived without consuming meat/junk food for a month plus. On top of that, I reduced sugar and oily food intake intensely, and keep exercising for about 3-4 times a week. With all those reasons above, I lost 4kgs in less than 2 months. Many of my friends were shocked at how I had managed to slim down so drastically. Some were even concerned about my health. However, this intense diet re-bounced back after a period where I started to crave for all sorts of unhealthy food. (FYI, I'm a junkie who LOVES snacks, tidbits, chocolates, fried food) Especially when I started school when stress tends to build up, I binged on everything and disregarded my diet regime. I could drink more than 2 cups of Starbucks or equivalent a day. Subsequently, the over dosage of caffeine and sugar rush not only caused a jump in my weight, but also resulted in severe acne and pimples. My oily-acne skin became the consequence of my irregular diet. I have very few photos of myself without make-up on so here is one of the rare photos! Sigh, I know I shouldn't rely on make-up too much, but I just can't help it!

Therefore, I've decided to slim down again but in a more regular and healthier diet regime. It takes time, effort and perseverance to slenderize. Determination is the key. So I would constantly need to re-read this blog post and remind myself the reason for the diet. 

Please wait for awhile before I post my diet methods. Also, I'll keep you updated on my progress! Before I end this post, I hope everyone will be positive and optimistic towards their future and fight against any challenges they have ahead. I will also do my best and keep my life going (:
